The Masked Singer – Season 5

Season 5 of The Masked Singer will begin airing on March 10th, 2021. Similar COVID-19 precautions will be used in Season 5 as was in Season 4. The producers have promised even bigger stars and talented singers than ever. Season 5’s contestants boast a massive amount of awards and records, including a combined 26 Grammy nominations, nine multi-platinum singles, four Academy Award nominations, three Super Bowl appearances, six gold medals, and two world records.

Season 5 will contine to have fan based voting. Fans have to apply to get selected to participate in voting.

Singers

Season 5 will have 10 regular contestants that will start the season. They will be split into two groups of five (Group A and Group B). Group A will include Porcupine, Seashell, Raccoon, Snail, and the Russian Dolls. Group B will include Phoenix, Piglet, Chameleon, Grandpa Monster, and Black Swan.

Season 5 will also feature an unknown number of wildcard episodes. During the wildcard round a new masked singer will be introduced. The wildcard singer will take the stage at the end of the show for a chance to unseat another contestant. The wildcard masked singers have not been revealed yet.

Who is Cluedle-Doo

Season 5 is also introducing the “clue-meister” character, known as Cluedle-Doo.

He’s a celebrity in a costume that gives the audience and judges extra clues throughout the season. He will pop-up during each episode to share information and mess with the judges. Cluedle-Doo will also be unmasked at the end of the season.

Judges and Hosts

Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, and Ken Jeong are expected to continue as Judges in Season 5. It is expected that there will be additional Guest Judges. Nick Cannon will temporarily be replaced with Niecy Nash in the first few episodes due to Nick testing positive to COVID-19.
